IT-Talaka is an association of Belarusian IT-specialists around the world. The union is aimed at strengthening the IT-community, developing digital services for the civil society and representing Belarusian IT around the globe.

What we do

Solving IT Challenges for Civil Society

Belarusian civil society has a great deal of initiatives working in domains like democracy, freedom of speech, culture, education, etc. We believe all of them need a simple and tractable way to solve IT challenges they face without necessarily building IT teams of their own. Our members offer professional pro-bono help in setting up websites, chatbots, analytics, SMM tools and other IT tools to help such initiatives.

Empowering Through Education

We promote popular education and vocational training by sharing practical knowledge about the technology that shapes our world. Our members host hands-on sessions designed to make science and research accessible to everyone.

Our workshops cover a wide range of topics, including fundamentals like "How the Internet Works" and newer developments like "Hands-on with LLMs." These are just examples of how we make technical skills and information more accessible for the community to navigate today's IT landscape.

Connecting Like-Minded Tech Minds

We've built a living network of specialists, united by curiosity and a willingness to use their skills for a good cause. From peer-led workshops and mentoring to casual brainstorming, informal knowledge sharing, and our regular hackathons, we focus on exchanging insights and lifting each other up. Even though we are a distributed organization, we meet regularly to keep the collaborative spirit alive.

Our Team

IT-Talaka consists of 18 members residing in 6 countries (and counting!). Together, we bring over 150 years of combined experience to the table, having worked everywhere from innovative startups to global tech giants.

More than just experts, we're a community of tech enthusiasts who are genuinely curious about technology. We're driven by applying our skills for the benefit of civil society and, above all, growing together.

Our team is built on a diversity of backgrounds and experiences. We rely on our combined perspectives to move forward, and we welcome all skill levels and roles – from junior to senior and from the technical to the creative.

We invite all Belarusians working in IT-related professions to join us – this applies to developers, QAs, designers, product and project managers, SMM specialists and everyone else related to IT.

IT-Talaka is registered in Germany but we have members from 6 countries and welcome new members from all over the world. Use the options below to apply or contact us for more information.
